    Kotal Kahn and the five suns theory

    This is something that has been on my mind, but I want to share a Theory of mine.

    Basically, as we all know, Kotal Kahn is Themed off of Aztec Mythology. His weapons, his Clothes, and his abilities are reminiscent of Aztec Warriors and Gods. However, during MKX my thoughts regarding Kotal Kahn was that he was simply based off of Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec God of War, Blood, and the Sun.

    However, once we reached MK11, Kotal Kahn obtains a new ability that isn't in Huitzilopochtli's Domain, and that is his Jaguar. In Aztec Mythology, the Jaguar is the Animal Of Tezcalipoca, the God of the Night, Memory, Discord, and Jaguars.

    Now, Some Of you might start to wonder, "Well, what's the difference? Perhaps they are just attempting to Represent Many Aztec Gods." Which is what I thought at first, Until One Interesting Detail was revealed regarding Kotal.

    That interesting detail was His Relationship with Jade. In Aztec Mythology, There is a God named Tlaloc, Who is the god of Rain, Mountains, and Storms. This God is known to have a Wife Named Chalchiuhtlicue, which Translates to "She Of the Jade Skirt"

    Yeah, The devs sure did their Homework with Kotal. However, there's one big question and that is: What is the connection between all four gods?

    These four gods are known for their Myth of the "Five Suns" where five different gods Attempt to Govern the Sun and through their unstable emotions, kill off all humanity each time. It wasn't until the fifth sun that was able to Govern the sun without killing humanity, though, it is foretold that His domain will end through a Catastrophic earthquake.

    However, there is one Piece of the puzzle that is Missing, and that is none other than Quetzalcoatl, the God of wind, Craftsmanship, and Wisdom. Quetzalcoatl is undoubtedly the biggest piece of the Puzzle because He is the one who holds this Entire myth together. He is the one who Keeps bringing humans back to life, his Conflict with Tezcalipoca is what causes each God to Fail. He is the oldest and most well known god in all of Mesoamerican Mythology. So where is he?

    Quetzalcoatl is a Feathered snake, so no animal representation. His main Color Scheme is White, so no color representation. No wind Powers, no craftsmanship, nothing in representation of Quetzalcoatl.

    I wonder if there is a reason for that. There is a Possibility that Kotal's Name could be in representation of Quetzalcoatl, since he is Called "Ko'atl" sometimes which means Serpent. However, I doubt that Name alone is the only way he is represented.

    I feel like Quetzalcoatl could lead us into understanding the next chapter in Kotal Kahn's Story. Maybe he is a different character. Only time will tell

    What do you guys think? Is there an Quetzalcoatl representation that I missed? Could his relation to the five Myths mean something more for his story? Let me know what you think
