    Funny story: I was working at the Apple Store in Topanga (Los Angeles area), and the iPhone 3GS had just come out. E3 was in town, but I had been out of the video game world a little because I hadn't transitioned to the PS3 yet. However, I've been an MK fan since I bought MK1 on SNES and followed the series through thick and thin. Then the news came out that a new MK game was in the works and it was going to be a collaboration with DC.

    So one day, a coworker comes up to me and says there's a customer at the Genius bar who wants to buy a new iPhone. I walk over to greet the customer, and I instantly recognize him but can't pinpoint exactly who he is. I'm going through the motions of talking to him about the phone, and when it comes time to purchase the phone, I ask to see his ID (we were required to do this for every purchase because people were buying 5 iPhones at a time and selling them on the black market). He hands me his driver's license, and it's none other than freaking Ed Boon himself. I made the connection instantly and began telling him how big of an MK fan I was. We even talked about the movies and I asked him when a third one is coming, to which he replied "I'm not sure if people want a third one." I assured him they did, especially since the 1st one is amazing.

    MK vs. DC hadn't come out yet and the full roster hadn't been announced. I asked him if they were going to have Joker in the game, and lowered his voice in almost a whisper and said "yeah, he's in the game." ED BOON HIMSELF broke the news to me that Joker was going to be in MK vs. DC.

    Lastly, just to prove to him I wasn't full of crap, I showed him my iPhone wallpaper, which was the MK fire/stone logo from the first movie. He thanked me for the help and I bought a PS3 the next day.
