Hi /r/MortalKombat -- my name is Lee and I'm one of the editors at Ars Technica. We're going to be shooting a video in the next couple of weeks with MK Story & VO director Dominic Cianciolo on the "unsolved mysteries" of Mortal Kombat lore, and I want to make sure players here have the opportunity to ask Dominic some questions.

(We've previously done similar "unsolved mysteries" videos about the lore for Warframe, Mass Effect, LOL, and a couple of other games, if you want to get an idea about how the video will look when completed.)

So here's the deal: if you've got a question you've always wondered about Mortal Kombat lore—which is pretty vast in scope, I know—please post it here and I'll make sure it goes on the list for Dominic for when we shoot the video.

Questions can be anything at all, from super high level (like, "Can we talk a bit about the Elder Gods' ultimate motivation here?") to self-referential ("How faithful to the original character was Christopher Lambert's portrayal of Raiden?") to, well, anything you want to know. I can't guarantee Dominic will answer your question or that the answer will make it into the final video, but I can guarantee we'll ask more or less everything :)

Please feel free to post here, or to e-mail questions to me at lee@arstechnica.com, whatever you feel most comfortable with. About a week after this topic is posted, I'll sweep through the thread, package everything up, and we'll get rolling! We'll also make sure to give an on-screen credit to each question's poster when that question is put to Dominic.

Thanks very much if you're able to contribute :) The video will likely take a month or two to shoot and edit, and i'll make sure to follow up with a link when it's done!
