    Just saying my peace. I LOVE this game. I like most things about it. You can't like Street Fighter but then get pissed because a strike throw meta exists in MK. I would venture to say that MK has greater variety because many characters have overhead low mixup that can lead to full combo. While I'm aware some characters in sfv have overheads most dont lead to combos. I don't hate street fighter, I play that too although not as much.

    I find the game exciting in that matches are often closer. As opposed to mkx. I feel like mkx is very fast or famine. Not saying that close matches never existed just not the norm. I get that in mkx you could just do more as far as combos but I dont think that makes mk11 boring. As far as people upset about the same characters in the top 8. How many kid gokus and bardocks do you think will be in the top 8 of evo. How many akumas, rashids, ibukis will be in the top 16 of street fighter. I don't hate any of these games. I'm just saying mk is no different than any other game in this category. Geras is arguably the best character or close and has been since launch. Got it. That's not an explosively mk problem. Tekken just had a tournament where most players played leeroy. Again, not saying anything bad cuz I also LOVE some good ass Tekken. I just feel this game gets unnecessary shade thrown at it. It definitely has its problems #buffshaokahn. But it has some hype moments that I personally find more appealing than some of the other titles.

    As far as it being a departure from its predecessor, look the same can be said about marvel and street fighter. MVCI may not have done well sales wise but the community adores the games. SFV has also made big changes between now and four. And it has always been devisive in the same way third strike was to 4. Some people are gonna love it others will hate it.

    Sigh.... and that's my rant. Let the downvotes begin

    Before this EVO thing I've seen many people day they're having fun with the game and a positive reception towards it. But now with this EVO stuff people just now decide the game is garbage. Am I missing something? Are people coming from another sub or something?
